Terance James Bond

Terance James Bond was born in 1946 in the County of Suffolk. He spent his early years on a farm where he developed a fascination for natural history.
He held his first exhibition in Ipswich at the Haste Gallery where he sold all his paintings on the first evening! Since then he has become one of the most admired, respected and collected bird artists in Britain.
Terance paints highly detailed studies, many of which are life size rather than impressions, as he sees his work as a celebration of the natural world. For this reason, his paintings can take up to 3 months to complete. His illustrations have been used on calendars and Christmas cards for the RSPB and World Wildlife Fund.

Bond's work is highly sought after by individuals and galleries and graces many collections, both in Britain and abroad.
